Poland’s power system is changing fast. Coal still produces more than half of the country’s electricity, yet EU Fit for 55 targets call for 56% renewable electricity by 2030. The grid is already struggling to absorb what is being built.
Volta Polska operates at the intersection of energy transition ambition and infrastructure. We are different from brokers, consultants, or developers who sell their projects. Volta Polska is a fully integrated, agile Independent Power Producer (IPP): we develop, build, own, and operate renewable assets in Poland, and sell the power they produce.
Our mission is to deliver long-term price stability, bypass grid bottlenecks, improve the production profile of renewable energy sources, and provide the clean energy that the Polish industry needs to decarbonize.
Volta Polska is established by Groupe Volta with the backing of the Eiffel Essential growth capital fund — as its very first portfolio investment. A strong signal of confidence in both the team and the Polish market.

Poland’s grid infrastructure is the central bottleneck for renewable deployment in 2026. In June alone, PSE (Poland’s transmission system operator) curtailed 286.6 GWh of green electricity — 14.2% of large-scale PV’s potential — through 252 hours of non-market redispatch, while negative-price hours on the day-ahead market are becoming the norm.
This volatility is no longer an edge case; it is the operating reality of Poland’s energy transition. PV panels alone are not enough — the market now requires intelligent system design, combining PV, wind, BESS, cable pooling and flexible offtake structures.
High-capacity PV plants engineered for Polish irradiance profiles and soil conditions. Our PV installations feed directly into long-term Corporate PPA structures, shielding offtakers from wholesale market volatility.
Standalone BESS solutions that turn grid stress into system value. By charging during renewable curtailment and negative-price periods, then discharging when demand rises and the network needs flexibility, our batteries help absorb surplus green electricity, reduce congestion, stabilize local grid conditions, and deliver dispatchable clean power exactly when it is most valuable.
Strategic turbine deployment within Poland’s most productive wind corridors. Combined with PV and BESS, wind ensures a more balanced generation profile across seasons and day/night cycles.
In the near future, combining PV, Wind, and BESS at a single grid connection point will become one of the most effective ways to unlock underused capacity and increase the value of existing assets. The Grid Act broadens cable pooling across installation types, and Volta Polska is positioned for this regulatory phase — engineering hybrid systems that make better use of scarce grid access.

Volta Polska is developing a PV project on a 13-hectare site adjacent to Łódź Airport’s runway. The project is intended to support the airport’s energy needs through onsite consumption and a PPA. Volta will finance and operate the infrastructure under a ~30-year cooperation agreement with the airport.

Volta Polska is building its first standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Poland, with commissioning scheduled for early 2027.
Groupe Volta combines local entrepreneurial agility with institutional financial power. Our capital structure is designed for long-term project commitment — not short-term exits.
Four European institutional investors sit alongside the founders, with Polish public capital present through the investment chain.
Over 600 wind and photovoltaic installations deployed across France and international markets, with nearly fifteen years of experience across the entire renewable energy value chain. Volta Polska benefits from this network while maintaining full operational autonomy in Poland.
Our shareholders
Groupe Volta is backed by leading European investors, including Eiffel Investment Group, TiLT Capital Partners (Siparex Group), Bpifrance and Socadif (Crédit Agricole Group). Eiffel Investment Group became a shareholder in 2021, while TiLT Capital Partners, Bpifrance and Socadif joined the Group’s shareholder base in 2023.
Polish capital is part of the chain. PFR Ventures — the fund-of-funds of Poland’s state development fund — invested EUR 5 million in TiLT Capital Fund 1 in 2023, alongside Bpifrance and the European Investment Bank.
Volta Polska is not a remote investment vehicle. It is led on the ground by a senior management team that chose Poland — and chose renewable energy — as a deliberate commitment after distinguished international careers.
After two decades in international logistics and e-commerce at the highest global management level, Stephane made a conscious pivot to renewable energy by co-founding Volta in Poland — driven by the conviction that Poland’s economic future depends on locally produced clean power. His multicultural background and deep understanding of the Polish business landscape make him a natural bridge between international capital and local execution.
Chris brings over 30 years of international experience in corporate finance, banking, and strategic growth across Europe and Asia, with extensive knowledge of the Polish and Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets and expertise in renewable energy investments and business development.
Philippe serves as the Operations Director for Volta Polska. He is a seasoned operations and project management professional with over a decade of experience across renewable energy, corporate retail, and large-scale engineering projects in Poland
Engineers, operation and maintenance specialists, and project developers distributed across Poland. This is not a Warsaw-only operation. Our people are where the projects are — negotiating land agreements with municipalities, coordinating with grid operators, managing construction timelines, and maintaining long-term relationships with local communities.
“We don’t overpromise. We engineer solutions, execute with discipline, and stay accountable over the full lifecycle of every asset. In a market where many developers build to sell, we build to own and operate — and that changes everything about how we work.”
— Stéphane Arnold Rauber
Poland has no shortage of companies that develop renewable projects or trade electricity. What sets Volta Polska apart is ownership — and everything below follows from it.
We do not develop projects to sell them. We build, own, and operate every asset in our portfolio. Direct accountability over 15+ year contracts.
In a market where obtaining new grid connections is increasingly difficult, our cable pooling and BESS expertise helps unlock grid capacity that is hard to access.
Whether your deadline is compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), an RE100 commitment (100% renewable electricity), or Scope 2 reduction, our Corporate PPA structures are designed to match.
From a traditional long-term Corporate PPA to our zero-CAPEX (no upfront capital expenditure) Solar as a Service model, also available with battery storage, we tailor solutions to your capital structure and risk appetite.
Our Corporate PPA structures serve Polish industrial consumers and, through virtual PPA mechanisms, corporate buyers in neighboring EU markets.
An IPP develops, builds, owns, and operates energy generation assets. Unlike brokers who facilitate transactions between third parties, Volta Polska retains full ownership and operational control. We are contractually accountable for energy delivery over the entire duration of a Corporate PPA — typically 10 to 15 years.
A long-term contract between an energy producer and a business consumer, guaranteeing a fixed electricity price for the contract duration. In Poland, where spot price fluctuations have been extreme, Corporate PPAs provide the budget certainty industrial CFOs need.
We specialize in cable pooling — sharing a single grid connection between complementary installations (PV+ wind + storage). Combined with BESS, this approach maximizes existing grid capacity without waiting for infrastructure upgrades.
Legally permitted since October 2023 under amended Energy Law provisions. It allows multiple renewable installations to share a single grid connection point. The upcoming Grid Act is expected to extend this framework to energy storage systems.
A zero-CAPEX energy solution. Volta Polska finances, installs, and maintains the renewable infrastructure. The client signs a long-term agreement to purchase green electricity at a pre-agreed rate, with no upfront investment.
We have active projects in all 16 Polish voivodeships. Our team of 15 experts is distributed across Poland to ensure local presence and direct communication with municipalities and grid operators.
Yes. Our Corporate PPA contracts and Guarantees of Origin (GoO) provide the documented proof of renewable energy sourcing that ESG frameworks, CSRD disclosures, and RE100 or Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments require.
From utility-scale PV and wind plants to on-site industrial installations. Whether your consumption profile is 1 GWh or 100+ GWh annually, we engineer solutions tailored to your load profile and grid constraints.
A 30-minute call with our team — no obligation, and no procurement process to start.
