Volta Polska is proud to present the 15 MWp Sadów Photovoltaic Power Plant, the company’s largest project to date as an independent power producer (IPP) in Poland. The plant delivers renewable electricity to one industrial client via corporate PPAs (cPPAs). By combining independent energy production, scalable renewable infrastructure and bespoke corporate PPA solutions, Volta Polska is demonstrating a practical approach to decarbonisation and ensuring a reliable energy supply. This will contribute to Poland’s industrial energy transformation and reinforce the Volta client’s ESG commitments.
Volta Polska presents the Sadów Photovoltaic Power Plant, a 15 MWp facility and the company’s largest project to date as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Poland. The plant delivers renewable electricity and a measurable Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) impact to the BAT Poland factory in Augustów via corporate Power Purchase Agreements (cPPAs). The project produces around 15 GWh of electricity each year, meeting approximately 30% of the factory’s energy demand and reducing CO₂ emissions by around 8,500 tonnes.
Volta Polska operates as an IPP, owning and managing the Sadów assets directly. Electricity is delivered to industrial clients through corporate PPAs (cPPAs), which provide a fixed price for energy and associated green certificates. This model ensures predictable costs for clients while giving Volta the flexibility and control needed to efficiently operate renewable assets and expand its portfolio. Corporate PPAs also support the development of new renewable projects by enabling investors and industrial clients to collaborate on sustainable energy solutions.
The Sadów project was realised with the expertise of key partners, including Rymarz Zdort Maruta, Forvis Mazars, R2 Energy and Greensolver, as well as the financial backing of mBank. This underscores the collaborative effort behind industrial-scale energy transformation in Poland.
