Volta Polska

Your Independent
Power Producer
for Poland’s
Energy Transition

Poland’s energy landscape is undergoing a historic shift. Coal still accounts for over half the electricity mix, yet the country targets 56% renewable electricity generation by 2030 under EU Fit-for-55 mandates. Grid congestion is intensifying — in April 2025 alone, the TSO curtailed a full week’s worth of renewable generation. The gap between energy transition ambition and infrastructure is where Volta Polska operates.

We are not brokers. We are not consultants. Volta Polska is an agile fully integrated Independent Power Producer (IPP) — we develop, build, own, and operate renewable energy assets across in Poland. Our mission: deliver long-term price stability, bypass grid bottlenecks, improve production profile from renewable energy source and provide the clean energy that Polish industry needs to decarbonize.

Integrated Renewable
Solutions

Engineered for Poland’s
Grid Reality

Poland’s grid infrastructure is the single greatest bottleneck for renewable deployment. Over 300 hours of negative electricity prices were recorded in 2025, while evening price spikes exceeded €600/MWh during the November 2024 dunkelflaute. This extreme volatility demands more than solar panels — it demands intelligent system design.

Photovoltaic Systems

PV

High-capacity solar farms engineered for Polish irradiance profiles and soil conditions. Our PV installations feed directly into long-term cPPA structures, shielding offtakers from wholesale market volatility.

Battery Energy
Storage Systems

BESS

Pioneering storage solutions that bypass grid connection bottlenecks through cable pooling configurations, and provide dispatchable green energy — power delivered when the grid needs it most.

Wind Energy

Strategic turbine deployment within Poland’s most productive wind corridors. Combined with PV and BESS, wind ensures a more balanced generation profile across seasons and day/night cycles.

Hybrid Systems
& Cable Pooling

By combining PV, wind, and BESS at a single grid connection point, we maximize the value of existing permits. The upcoming Grid Act will further expand cable pooling to all installation types — a regulatory direction Volta Polska has anticipated.

Project Highlights

Proven Delivery, Not Just Pipeline

Łódź Airport

Poland’s First Airport Solar Park

Volta Polska is developing a 14 MW hybrid installation on 13 hectares adjacent to Łódź Airport’s runway — making it the first airport in Poland to host a utility-scale solar farm. Volta finances and builds the infrastructure under a ~30-year cooperation agreement.

British American Tobacco

Industrial cPPA

A corporate PPA supplying 15 GWh/year of renewable energy to BAT’s production facility in Augustów (northeastern Poland), sourced from the 15 MW Sadów solar plant.

Energy Cooperative

Wielkopolska Region

A community energy cooperative linking locally produced green electricity to municipal consumers — demonstrating commitment beyond industrial clients.

Hybrid PV + BESS Projects

Multiple Voivodeships

Several cable pooling installations in advanced development, combining PV generation with battery storage to unlock grid capacity in congested zones.

“Solar/Storage as a Service”

Now Available

A zero-CAPEX solution: Volta finances, builds, and maintains on-site infrastructure. The client pays only for green electricity consumed at a pre-agreed rate.

Financial Solidity
& Institutional Backing

Volta Polska combines local entrepreneurial agility with institutional financial power. Our capital structure is designed for long-term project commitment — not short-term exits.

Part of the Volta Group

Over 500 photovoltaic installations deployed across France and international markets, with nearly fifteen years of experience across the entire renewable energy value chain. Volta Polska benefits from this network while maintaining full operational autonomy in Poland.

Backed by Eiffel Investment Group

Supported by Eiffel Essential, a Tier-1 European growth capital fund. Volta was the fund’s inaugural investment in 2021. The Group has since welcomed TiLT Capital Partners and Socadif (Crédit Agricole Group) as shareholders.

Founder-Led Governance

The original founders, Pierrick Morier and Benoît Duval, remain active shareholders alongside institutional investors, ensuring entrepreneurial vision and long-term strategic alignment.

Expertise on the Ground

A Senior Team with
a Long-Term Vision

Volta Polska is not a remote investment vehicle. It is led on the ground by a senior management team that chose Poland — and chose renewable energy — as a deliberate commitment after distinguished international careers.

Stéphane Arnold Rauber

Managing Partner & CEO
(Prezes Zarządu)

Born in Casablanca to a Polish mother and Swiss father, raised in Paris, Stéphane has been based in Warsaw since 1997. After two decades in international logistics and e-commerce at the highest management level, he made a conscious pivot to renewable energy — driven by the conviction that Poland’s economic future depends on locally produced clean power. His multicultural background and deep understanding of the Polish business landscape make him a natural bridge between international capital and local execution.

A Team of
15 Experts Across
the Territory

Engineers, operation and maintenance specialists, and project developers distributed across Poland. This is not a Warsaw-only operation. Our people are where the projects are — negotiating land agreements with municipalities, coordinating with grid operators, managing construction timelines, and maintaining long-term relationships with local communities.

“We don’t overpromise. We engineer solutions, execute with discipline, and stay accountable over the full lifecycle of every asset. In a market where many developers build to sell, we build to own and operate — and that changes everything about how we work.”

Why Choose Volta Polska as Your Energy Partner?

FAQ

1. What is an Independent Power Producer (IPP), and how does Volta Polska differ from energy brokers?

An IPP develops, builds, owns, and operates energy generation assets. Unlike brokers who facilitate transactions between third parties, Volta Polska retains full ownership and operational control. We are contractually accountable for energy delivery over the entire duration of a cPPA — typically 10 to 15 years.

A long-term contract between an energy producer and a business consumer, guaranteeing a fixed electricity price for the contract duration. In Poland, where spot price fluctuations have been extreme, cPPAs provide the budget certainty industrial CFOs need.

We specialize in cable pooling — sharing a single grid connection between complementary installations (solar + wind + storage). Combined with BESS, this approach maximizes existing grid capacity without waiting for infrastructure upgrades.

Legally permitted since October 2023 under amended Energy Law provisions. It allows multiple renewable installations to share a single grid connection point. The upcoming Grid Act is expected to extend this framework to energy storage systems.

A zero-CAPEX energy solution. Volta Polska finances, installs, and maintains the renewable infrastructure. The client signs a long-term agreement to purchase green electricity at a pre-agreed rate, with no upfront investment.

We have active projects in all 16 Polish voivodeships. Our team of 15 experts is distributed across the territory to ensure local presence and direct communication with municipalities and grid operators.

Yes. Our cPPA contracts and Guarantees of Origin (GoO) provide the documented proof of renewable energy sourcing that ESG frameworks, CSRD disclosures, and RE100 or SBTi commitments require.

From utility-scale solar and wind farms to on-site industrial installations. Whether your consumption profile is 1 GWh or 100+ GWh annually, we engineer solutions tailored to your load profile and grid constraints.

Ready to Optimize
Your Energy Strategy?

Poland’s energy transition is not a future promise — it is happening now. Grid constraints, price volatility, and regulatory momentum are creating a narrow window for industrial businesses to secure competitive, long-term green energy contracts.
